Crash closes lanes on Pete Domenici in Sunland Park

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- One person was airlifted and two others were hurt after a three-vehicle crash along Pete Domenici International Highway, according to the Sunland Park Fire Department on Tuesday, June 9. The crash happened along the intersection of Pete Domenici and Strauss Road, a spokesperson with the City of Sunland Park said. Sunland Park Fire and Doña Ana Fire Rescue responded to the crash. SPFD reported that one person was airlifted by the El Paso Fire Department's FireSTAR, and two others were transported by ground. It is unclear the severity of the injuries. All lanes except the right northbound lane on Pete Domenici have reopened nearly two hours later, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation. Commuters are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
