Colorado woman, 20, charged in fatal DUI crash in Lakewood
A 20-year-old Colorado woman is in police custody in Lakewood following a tragic accident where she was allegedly driving drunk, resulting in a fatal crash on November 30 at an intersection near Kipling Parkway and West 6th Avenue Frontage Road. One victim has tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in the accident. The suspect, Ella Cromwell, faces charges of vehicular homicide, along with vehicular assault, reckless driving, DUI, and minor in possession of alcohol. Investigators suspect that speed may have also played a role in the collision, with multiple occupants reportedly ejected from the vehicle Cromwell hit. Cromwell is currently detained at the Jefferson County Jail with a bond set at $100,000. Her attorney may provide a statement on the case, and Cromwell is scheduled to appear in court on December 30.
