Cole County man dead in Saturday afternoon car crash
A 44-year-old Lohman man died Saturday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash in rural Cole County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Troopers say the crash happened around 2 p.m. on Route D, north of Hilltop Lane. The report states that a 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling north when it left the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and then crashed into two fences. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said next of kin have been notified. Troop F reported the crash as its second traffic fatality of June and the 27th fatality investigated by the troop in 2026.
