Closure of Northbound I-25 near Loveland due to fatal 4-vehicle collision
Earlier today, there was a tragic multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 near Loveland, as confirmed by the Colorado State Patrol. The crash involved a box truck, a Lexus GX, a KIA Telluride, and a Chevrolet Silverado with a trailer. The incident occurred following a medical emergency that led to a driver pulling over for help. Sadly, there was a fatality and multiple injuries resulting from the collision. The CSP has not released further details on the cause of the crash, but has stated that it led to one death as well as several injuries. A minor in the Lexus was pronounced dead at the scene, while two adults and another minor from the vehicle were hospitalized for unspecified injuries. The occupants of the Silverado and KIA did not sustain injuries, and the box truck driver's condition is still being evaluated. Authorities have closed northbound I-25 near milepost 259 (Crossroads Boulevard) indefinitely, diverting traffic to Crossroads Boulevard.
