Charges filed against North Carolina man in deadly Mahoning County collision
A man from North Carolina has been accused of causing a fatal crash in Coitsville Township, Ohio. Robert Powell, 24, is facing charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, improper handling of firearms in a vehicle while intoxicated, and operating a vehicle under the influence. According to Coitsville Police Department Chief Michael Morris, Powell allegedly failed to yield at an intersection, resulting in a collision with another vehicle on Thursday night. The other driver, who was hit by Powell, passed away at the hospital. Powell is scheduled for arraignment at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
