Charges filed against Greenfield man in Milwaukee fatal crash

A 60-year-old man from Greenfield named William Lee has been accused of first-degree reckless homicide for his involvement in a fatal car crash in Milwaukee on the evening of January 13. The incident took place at the intersection of 94th and Wilbur, where a black Nissan Rogue driven by Lee crashed into a tree, resulting in the death of a passenger named Elaine Corbitt. Firefighters had to extract Lee from the vehicle, identified by debris and damage at the scene. Lee allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol before the crash, and evidence suggests he was speeding recklessly at almost 100 mph without applying any brakes. The crash, which occurred in a residential area with a 25 mph speed limit, caused extensive damage and tragically claimed the life of Corbitt.
