Chain-reaction crash involving 6 vehicles closes part of I-95 in Cocoa, troopers say
All southbound lanes of I-95 in Cocoa are closed following a crash with injuries on Thursday morning. The Florida Highway Patrol said preliminary details show a car hauler failed to stop for traffic ahead, causing a six-vehicle crash. Troopers said the car hauler struck the rear of another vehicle after failing to stop for traffic. The impact caused a chain-reaction crash involving four more vehicles. Two people were transported to Holmes Regional Hospital with serious injuries. One additional person was transported with minor injuries.All southbound lanes of I-95 are currently blocked as tow trucks and crews work to clear the scene.>> This is a developing story.
