Car slams into Redwood City hardware shop, ignites
A vehicle collided with an Ace Hardware store in Redwood City on Monday and ignited, according to the fire department. The incident occurred at the Woodside Plaza location while customers were inside. Ricky Pera, an employee present at the time, described hearing an engine revving and witnessing the car plow through a window, causing butane to ignite and explode. Pera and others quickly responded by using fire extinguishers to assist the driver out of the vehicle. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and the store's structure remained intact despite the crash involving glass.
