Car crashes into WakeMed Raleigh campus building
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A car crash in a handicapped accessible parking lot at the WakeMed Raleigh campus led to one car crashing into the building, hospital officials said. According to a WakeMed representative, two cars accidentally collided in a handicap accessible lot next to the E-tower at the WakeMed Raleigh campus Tuesday. One of those cars then hit the E-tower building, according WakeMed, but no one was seriously injured due to the accident. As a result of the crash, WakeMed has closed the stairwell to the building until a safety assessment is completed. No patients or hospital operations were impacted by the crash, WakeMed said.
