Car crashes into barber shop in Windsor Locks
WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — Skip's Early Bird Barber Shop in Windsor Locks was boarded up after a car crashed into it on Tuesday. The bar's owners have not said when they will reopen, as of Wednesday at noon. A 50-year-old woman from Hartford was driving north on Route 159 around 8 p.m. when she drove off the roadway and into the glass windows of Skip's Barber Shop, police said. She told police that she lost control and struck the building. She passed the standardized field sobriety tests, police said. She did not seek medical attention. The building's upstairs apartments were evacuated following the crash. There were no injuries reported, police said. The woman was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane. The case remains open, according to Windsor Locks police.
