BREAKING: Two dead, one hurt in Highway 96 crash just south of Jasper
Two people are dead and one injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 96, about 500 yards south of the Jasper city limits, according to Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard. The crash was reported this afternoon in the southbound lanes of Highway 96. Those lanes were closed but reopened late this afternoon. The DPS is on scene and overseeing the investigation. Jasper County S.O. and Jasper Police did traffic control.
