Breaking: At least one seriously injured in motorcycle crash in Elkhart
At least one person has been seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash at a busy intersection on Elkhart's northside. Police are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle near County Road 6 and Johnson Street. The crash happened at around 2:11 p.m. on Friday. The Elkhart Police Department’s public information said their initial investigation indicated that a vehicle was traveling westbound on County Road 6 and turned in front of a motorcycle traveling eastbound on County Road 6. The vehicle was attempting to turn into a business. The motorcycle then struck the vehicle. Medics rendered first aid to the male motorcycle driver and he was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be serious bodily injury, according to police. The EPD Crash Team is investigating the crash.
