Belaruskali Accident Victims in Stable yet Serious Condition

According to an announcement from the Ministry of Health's press service, the status of the four patients wounded at Belaruskali is currently described as stable yet serious. Of the individuals harmed, two have suffered severe inhalation injuries and are receiving assisted breathing, while the other two have made slight progress. The Republican Burn Center of the Minsk Emergency Hospital is leveraging advanced treatment methods to address these injuries and administering essential medical assistance. A national medical consultation, attended by prominent healthcare figures, was convened at the Minsk Emergency Hospital to devise a treatment plan for the wounded individuals. The patients were transferred from the Soligorsk Central District Hospital on October 31. The incident at Belaruskali, where an empty hydrochloric acid tank ruptured, triggering a spill that was subsequently contained, resulted in injuries to a young woman and three men. Following surgical intervention, two patients were moved to Minsk. A criminal investigation is underway regarding the accident.
