Auburn man booked for DUI after crash that injured mother

(FOX40.COM) — An Auburn man is under arrest after a serious car crash that left his mother hospitalized. On July 16, at about 7:40 p.m., 27-year-old Tucker Dunbar was driving a black 2002 Audi west on Magnolia Road, east of Normandy Lane, the California Highway Patrol said. Dunbar, who was driving a a "high rate of speed," crashed head-on into a tree. The car caught fire, and the passenger was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, officials said. After being medically cleared at Sierra Nevada Memorially Hospital, Dunbar was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility. He was arrested for a felony DUI, according to the highway patrol. The passenger, identified as 63-year-old Michelle Dunbar, suffered major injuries in the crash.
