At least one killed in semi-truck crash on I-215 in Taylorsville; highway shut down
At least one person was killed in a crash between a semi-truck and a car on I-215 in Taylorsville. Officials with the Utah Highway Patrol said a semi-truck and a car collided near Redwood Road on Monday afternoon. The crash allegedly caused a vehicle fire near milepost 14 in Taylorsville. UHP officials confirmed that the crash was fatal. They have not yet provided additional details. The crash initially forced the closure of two lanes on I-215, eventually prompting the full closure of all eastbound traffic at Redwood Road. Officials recommended using I-15 as an alternate route and said to plan for heavy delays between Taylorsville and West Jordan. ___
