Amarillo Police responds to ‘major accident’ call, finds 2 injured after ‘altercation’
AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department reports a major accident happened in Northeast Amarillo during an "altercation" that left two injured in a parking lot early on Sunday. According to APD, on May 31, officers were responding to a call regarding a major accident in the 2400 Block of East Amarillo Boulevard. APD said the arriving officers learned that an altercation had occurred in the parking lot, and during the altercation, a man was hit by a red Dodge Charger. Officials stated that two males were transported from the scene to local hospitals for injuries sustained. The Amarillo Police Department said this case remains under investigation by the APD's Violent Crimes Units.
