Alcohol a factor in fatal head-on crash in Antigo

ANTIGO, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities say alcohol appears to be a factor in a fatal head-on crash late Wednesday night in Antigo that left one woman dead. According to a release from the Langlade County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at 10:24 p.m. to State Highway 45 near County Highway X in the town of Antigo for reports of a head-on, two-vehicle crash. One of the drivers, 45-year-old Gina Marie Brunner from Wittenberg, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver, a 25-year-old Antigo man, was hurt in the crash and taken to the Aspirus Langlade Hospital. From observations made at the crash scene, officials say they suspect alcohol as a factor in the crash.
