Accident may result in delays between Joplin and Pittsburg on Highway 171
Drivers on Highway 171 between Joplin and Pittsburg may have some temporary delays in the mid afternoon hours today (Thursday).A two-vehicle accident is reported at the intersection of Highway 171 and 260th Road 1 mile west of the Missouri and Kansas State line. Calls came into the NewsTalk KZRG newsroom around 3:15 p.m.The location is approximately 4 miles East of the Highway 69/400/171 south of Pittsburg.Fire trucks and law enforcement vehicles are on scene including vehicles from the Kansas Highway Patrol and Crawford County Sheriff's Department. Exercise caution when driving in that area.
