Authorities in Independence reported that 92-year-old Floyd Richardson passed away following a collision involving two vehicles near Kendall Drive on U.S. 40 Highway. The incident occurred Tuesday evening when a 2012 Audi A6 sedan collided with Richardson's 2013 Ford Explorer as he exited the American Legion parking lot. The vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash. The driver of the Audi remained on the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
