88-year-old person killed in Burlington collision
An 88-year-old man, James Vos, tragically passed away after being hit by a car while attempting to cross North Main St. near State St. in Burlington early Tuesday. Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, Vos succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old woman also from Burlington, stayed at the scene and was unharmed. No charges have been brought against her, as police continue to investigate factors such as speed, visibility, and road conditions that may have contributed to the incident.
