83-year-old couple injured in single vehicle crash Friday
BARRYTON – Two people were injured Friday after hitting a tree. At 2:56 p.m. Friday, April 24, the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Watling Road in Barryton, where an 83-year-old Northville, Michigan, woman and her 83-year-old husband were pulling into a driveway when the vehicle lunged forward, hit a tree and deployed the airbags. Both people were transported to McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mount Pleasant with non-life-threatening injuries. The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Meceola Consolidated Central Dispatch, Fork Township Rescue and Mecosta County EMS. No other information was available at the time of publishing.
