5 people dead in Wimberley, Texas plane crash, Hays County Judge says
All five people onboard a plane died in a Thursday crash in the Texas Hill Country town of Wimberley, Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra said on social media. Authorities wouldn't be publicly identifying victims yet, Becerra said Friday morning. "Based on current findings, there is no indication of a mid-air collision. A second aircraft traveling in the vicinity landed safely in New Braunfels." It is believed that the plane was traveling from Amarillo to New Braunfels, Becerra told the Austin American-Statesman. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash, the FAA and Becerra said.
