5 injured in wrong-way crash on Route 1 on North Shore
Five people were injured in a crash involving a wrong-way driver late Tuesday in Peabody, Massachusetts.The multivehicle crash happened shortly after 11 p.m. on the northbound side of Route 1.Massachusetts State Police said preliminary information indicates that the crash stemmed from a wrong-way driver.One person suffered serious injuries, and four others sustained non-life-threatening injuries.Officials closed all northbound travel lanes and one southbound travel lane during the investigation.
