48-year-old man dies in Christian County crash
CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. — Law enforcement has released information on a fatal crash in Christian County on Thursday, April 2. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 48-year-old Clever man has died after a crash around 3:37 p.m. on Old Wire Road, west of Clever city limits, on Wednesday. Troopers say the crash occured as the man was driving a 2007 Honda Ridgeline west when it drove off the left side of the road and struck a tree. The man was pronounced dead at Cox South Hospital in Springfield around 4:52 p.m. His next of kin has been notified. MSHP states the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. This is the 29th fatality for Troop D in 2026.
