4 injured after car crashes into pedestrians in downtown L.A.
At least six people were injured after a vehicle hit them while they were on a sidewalk in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday. The vehicle then crashed into a tree. It happened at 8th and San Julian streets, near the Fashion District, at 11:45 a.m. Two of the pedestrians struck are in serious condition, with three others suffering from varying levels of injuries, according to fire officials. Those five people were taken to the hospital. Another was assessed and released at the scene. There’s no word on the condition of the driver. Sky5’s Rich Prickett was over the scene Tuesday afternoon, which was right next to a row of flower shops. Two women were seen being put on stretchers to be taken to the hospital. A man was loaded moments before. The section of roadway is blocked off while LAPD is on the scene. This is a breaking news story. Check back for updates.
