35-year-old man dead, two others hurt after head-on crash in Prince Edward
PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 35-year-old man is dead and two others are hurt after a head-on crash on Back Hampden Sydney Road in Prince Edward County on Saturday. Virginia State Police said the crash happened just after 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, on Back Hampden Sydney Road in Prince Edward. Police said a 2021 Genesis G70 crossed the centerline on Back Hampden Sydney Road and hit a 2015 Chevy Impala head-on. The driver of the Impala, 35-year-old James Anema, Jr., of Cullen, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He later died due to his injuries. A the driver of the Genesis and their passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police. Police continue to investigate this crash.
