3-year-old dies in crash | Adams County woman faces homicide by vehicle, PSP says
A 19-year-old woman from Abbottstown has been charged with homicide by vehicle in connection with a crash in Reading Township that killed a 3-year-old child, according to Pennsylvania State Police. According to charging documents, the crash occurred on May 9 just after 7 a.m.Claudia Ramos-Villeda was driving on Stoney Point Road near the intersection with East Berlin Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign. Ramos-Villeda’s car collided with a pickup truck. Investigators said a woman in the back seat of Ramos-Villeda’s car was holding the child, who was not secured by a seat belt or child restraint system. Authorities also said Ramos-Villeda did not have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
