26-year-old man dead after motorcycle crash in Henrico
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Henrico man was dead after a motorcycle crash in the county Saturday evening. According to Henrico Police, officers responded to a crash between a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of North Airport Drive and Airport Place around 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. Police determined that a motorcycle traveling north on North Airport Drive had collided with a Hyundai Genesis traveling south, which was attempting to turn left onto Airport Place. Officers found the motorcycle operator, identified as 26-year-old Hunter Southard of Henrico, in the roadway with signs of trauma. He died at the scene. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, authorities said. At this point, speed and alcohol were not believed to be factors on behalf of the Hyundai driver. Police are working to determine the cause of the crash.
