20-year-old dead, passenger seriously injured after Hoffman Estates motorcycle crash

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — A 20-year-old man died and his passenger is in serious condition after a motorcycle crash Sunday in Hoffman Estates. Just after 3 p.m., authorities responded to a call of a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a Toyota minivan at Golf Road and Kingsdale Road. Police believe the minivan was turning from southbound Kingsdale Road onto Golf Road when it collided with the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, Henry Pineda-Rodriquez, 20, of Rolling Meadows, was pronounced dead at Alexius Medical Center. His passenger, a 21-year-old, was transported to Advocate Lutheran with serious injuries. The driver of the minivan was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
