2 hospitalized with serious injuries after 3-car crash in Manteca
(FOX40.COM) — Two people were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries after a three-vehicle collision in the Manteca area Friday afternoon. The accident happened in the 200 block of S. Union Road around 5:34 p.m., the Manteca Police Department announced in a press release. Video: Sacramento Residents Advocate for Safer Roads Officers said a Corvette traveling southbound collided with a Nissan Rogue driving in the same direction, before veering into northbound traffic and colliding with a Toyota Camry. The driver of the Corvette, a 33-year-old Manteca resident, and the driver of the Camry, a 67-year-old Manteca resident, were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The roadway was closed until about 10 p.m., officers said, as the city’s major accident investigation team investigated the scene. The occupants of the Nissan Rogue were not injured. It’s not yet known if any of the drivers were impaired. Police ask witnesses to contact the department at (209) 456-8101.
