2 hospitalized following serious crash in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- Two individuals were hospitalized following a serious crash in Madison County on Thursday evening. According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of County Road 200 West and County Road 500 North. Officials said a black Dodge truck pulling a trailer, driven by a 66-year-old Cicero resident, was traveling westbound on 500 North and failed to stop at the intersection's stop sign. This reportedly caused a collision with a gray F-150 driven by a 30-year-old Manilla resident. The Dodge truck pulling the trailer reportedly caught fire at the scene. The driver was transported to an Anderson hospital with internal injuries and was later transported by ambulance to an Indianapolis hospital. The driver of the F-150 was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital with internal injuries.
