2 hospitalized after car crashes into home in Germantown; family displaced
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A family was displaced Friday after a car drove through their living room in Germantown. The collision took place around 11:30 p.m. on March 12, in the 13600 block of Palmetto Circle, near Father Hurley Boulevard. Details are limited; however, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) said that two people were also in the upstairs bedroom when the car slammed into the living room. They were not hurt. Pictures from the scene showed the car hanging from the house. Debris was also scattered across the lawn, and pieces from the house were seen dangling. Several first responders were on the scene and helped rescue the driver and a passenger who were trapped inside the car. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and it is currently unclear whether alcohol or speed was a factor in the collision. This is a developing story.
