2 die in crash involving big rig, 3 other vehicles on Highway 99 near Lodi, CHP says
Two people died following a multi-vehicle crash that included a big rig on Highway 99 near Lodi on Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol said.The crash was reported around 12:21 p.m. on northbound Highway 99 near the Harney Lane offramp, according to California Highway Patrol online logs. CHP said four vehicles were involved in the crash. It was not immediately clear who died from which vehicle. One of the drivers tried to flee the scene and was detained, CHP said.
