2 dead, 1 critical after single-vehicle crash on US-127 near I-96
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Two men are dead and a third is in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on northbound US-127 near I-96, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies responded at 3:10 a.m. to a report of a crash in which a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Lansing man left the roadway and crossed over I-96. Two passengers — both 39-year-old men from Holt — died at the scene. The driver was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said. Authorities said that speed and alcohol are being investigated as contributing factors. Both northbound and southbound US-127 were shut down while investigators processed the scene. The road has since reopened. The sheriff’s office asked anyone with information to contact Sgt. Adam Jackson at 517-676-8212.
