18-year-old to face arraignment for fatal accident on Wednesday
An 18-year-old who is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide has decided to skip his preliminary hearing and will instead be arraigned on Wednesday. Carter Green was in front of a judge in Outagamie County on Monday for his alleged involvement in a fatal accident that resulted in the death of 27-year-old Casey Sjoberg last October. It is reported that Green was driving at a speed of at least 100 miles per hour when the collision occurred. Authorities claim that Green had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, as per a criminal complaint. Following the tragic incident, approximately 100 friends and family members of Sjoberg gathered for a vigil in his memory. During that time, Luke Vandenheubel, a friend of Sjoberg who was also in the car during the crash and survived, shared his experience with NBC 26's reporter, underscoring how suddenly life can change. Green is scheduled to appear for his arraignment in court on Wednesday.
