11-year-old girl injured in UTV crash in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE, Ill. (WMBD) -- An 11-year-old girl was seriously injured after a UTV crash in Chillicothe on Friday night. Just after 9 p.m. on March 6, a side-by-side struck a culvert in the 14900 block of North Route 29, said Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins. There were four people in the vehicle at the time, including the girl. Watkins said she had serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the utility terrain vehicle was issued several tickets.
