1 severely injured after logging accident in Fort Ann
FORT ANN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- One person was airlifted to the hospital on Monday following a logging accident in Fort Ann, according to New York State Police. The incident reportedly occurred on a property on Bogtown Road. State Police and Fort Ann Fire and EMS crews were dispatched to the scene around 7 a.m. Upon arrival, first responders said they found an individual with severe injuries. According to an investigation, the victim had been thrown from a piece of logging equipment. They were reportedly airlifted to Albany Medical Center, where they were last known to be in stable condition. An investigation remains ongoing but the incident appears to be accidental, State Police said. County Route 16 was briefly closed while authorities responded to the accident and has since reopened.
