1 killed in crash on Capital City Freeway in Sacramento
A person was killed in a solo-vehicle crash on Sacramento’s Capital City Freeway on Memorial Day, the California Highway Patrol said. The crash was reported on the northbound side of the freeway at Marconi Avenue just before 5 a.m. The vehicle appeared to have come off an off-ramp down an embankment and struck a pole. Details about the person who died were not immediately available.
