1 killed, 3 airlifted after crash in Holmes County

HOLMES COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) -- One person was killed and three are injured after a crash Sunday evening in Holmes County. According to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the crash on US 62 near Township Road 626 around 8:41 p.m. on June 21. The preliminary investigation found the 2016 Honda Pilot was heading west on US 62 when it went left of the center line and struck a Jeep Cherokee that was going east. The driver of the Honda Pilot, identified by OSHP as Renee Troyer, 49, of Millersburg, Ohio, died at the scene. The 32-year-old driver of the Jeep Cherokee was airlifted to an Akron hospital with serious injuries. Two juvenile passengers were also airlifted in critical condition, according to the news release. The crash is under investigation.
