1 'heavily trapped' after head-on collision on Pennsylvania highway
A stretch of Route 30 was closed in York County on Sunday morning after a head-on collision between two vehicles. The crash was reported at the Accomac Road overpass in Hellam Township around 1:34 a.m., according to county dispatch. When crews arrived, they said they found one patient "heavily entrapped." Hellam Fire Company said it removed the roof of one of the vehicles and performed a dash lift to help extricate the patient. Photos shared by Hellam Fire Company and Wrightsville Fire Company appears to show two sedans that suffered significant damage in the crash. The severity of any injuries is unclear at this time. The road has since reopened, according to PennDOT traffic data.
