1 dead in Davenport pedestrian/vehicle crash
A pedestrian is dead after an incident with a motor vehicle in Davenport last night. A news release from the Davenport Police Department says Davenport Police, Fire and Medic EMS responded to the area of Rockingham Road and West River Drive on February 11 at about 7:09 p.m. in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. An initial investigation showed that a vehicle was traveling west on Rockingham Road when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway. The 32-year-old man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The vehicle’s driver was not injured. The Davenport Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the incident.
