1 dead following motorcycle crash in Fort Collins
DENVER (KDVR) — Fort Collins police are on the scene of a serious motorcycle crash on Sunday afternoon, according to a post on X from the Fort Collins Police Department. The crash involved a 1996 Harley Davidson and a 2005 Nissan Sentra on College Avenue. Fort Collins police provided an update on Sunday evening, stating that the motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital, where he would later die from his injuries. The department said that due to the severity of the crash, the Fort Collins Police CRASH Team is handling the investigation. Investigators said that initial information determined that the motorcycle rider was traveling northbound on College Avenue when the Nissan exited an apartment complex on Lorien Lane to head northbound. They are working to determine if a turning violation was a factor in the crash. The Nissan had three occupants, none of whom were injured.
