1 dead following crash involving vehicle, motorcycle
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police said officers responded to the scene of a fatal crash in the early hours of Thursday. According to APD, the crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle and occurred around 1 a.m. near the 9300 block of East U.S. Highway 290, which is just east of Springdale Road. APD said one person died, and the vehicle’s driver stayed at the scene. At 4:30 a.m., APD said the road was expected to be closed for the next hour. As of 6 a.m., the roadways were reopened.
