1 dead after motorcycle, car crash in Horry Co.
A motorcyclist died after a crash involving a car early Saturday morning in Horry County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The collision happened around 2:30 a.m. on July 5 on McCormick Road near the intersection with Hammerstone Run. Master Trooper William Bennett said the motorcycle was traveling east on McCormick Road while a car was traveling west. The driver of the car attempted to make a left turn and struck the motorcycle. The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
