1 dead after dump truck crashes in Montgomery County
MONTOGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. — One person has died after a crash in Montgomery County on Monday morning. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department was dispatched on Monday at approximately 7:24 a.m. to U.S. 231 between County Road 1150 South and County Road 1400 North on a report of a crash involving a dump truck. Authorities said that the dump truck was leaking fuel into a nearby waterway. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has been notified, and the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency is responding. Authorities have confirmed that one person has died in the crash. All lanes of U.S. 231 remain closed in the area.
