1 dead after Cumberland County crash involving motorcycle

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- One person is dead after a vehicle crash in Cumberland County over the weekend. Pennsylvania State Police said the fatal crash occurred at 915 Park Place in Monroe Township on April 11 at 8:24 p.m. State Police said the crash occurred at the intersection of Williams Grove Road and Park Place. According to State Police, a Nissan was traveling eastbound on Park Place toward the intersection of Williams Grove Road, and a Honda motorcycle was traveling southbound on Williams Grove Road to the intersection. State Police said the Nissan stopped at the stop sign at the intersection and attempted to make a left turn onto Williams Grove Road. The Nissan pulled out in front of the motorcycle, which then struck the front driver's side of the Nissan. Everyone in the Nissan was wearing a seatbelt, according to State Police. The driver of the motorcycle was reportedly wearing a helmet. State Police said the driver of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Their identity is unknown at this time.
