1 dead after 4-vehicle crash in Evans
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- One man was killed in a four-vehicle crash in Evans on Friday, police said. The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. near the intersection of Southwestern Boulevard and Pontiac Road. A 25-year-old man from Farnham, driving a Ford pickup truck with a trailer, was traveling westbound on Southwestern Boulevard when it allegedly rear-ended two other vehicles, officials said. The truck crossed into the eastbound lane, where it was struck by a Dodge Journey; the 25-year-old driver of the Ford truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the Dodge Journey, a 43-year-old man from Hamburg, was taken by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center; the driver was taken to ECMC by an ambulance. Another driver was also taken to ECMC by ambulance. The names of those involved in the crash have yet to be released by officials.
