1 dead, 5 injured in Glendale accident
Authorities are looking into a rollover collision that occurred in the early hours, resulting in one fatality and multiple individuals being transported to medical facilities. The incident took place on Jan. 2 in the vicinity of 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Glendale. According to Glendale Police, a car collided with another vehicle from behind, causing it to overturn and crash into a nearby business patio. There were five occupants in the first vehicle, all of whom were hospitalized, whereas the driver of the second vehicle escaped injuries as they were alone in the car. Sadly, a pedestrian in the vicinity was struck and succumbed to injuries after being taken to the hospital. The factors of speed and impairment are suspected to have contributed to the accident, leading to the closure of traffic in the area for investigative purposes. The identity of the deceased individual has not been disclosed, with the Glendale Police department conducting inquiries into the crash.
