1 dead, 3 hurt in 7-car Huntington Beach collision
The Huntington Beach police are currently investigating a serious collision that occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Goldenwest Street and Heil Avenue. Tragically, one person was killed, and three others, including an Orange County probation officer, were hospitalized as a result of the incident. The crash involved seven vehicles and took place around 3 p.m., causing significant damage and disruption at the intersection and along Heil Avenue. Initial reports suggest that a dark-colored vehicle traveling at high speed may have triggered the chain of events, resulting in multiple vehicle collisions. Fire crews were seen responding to an overturned black vehicle, and unfortunately, one person was confirmed deceased at the scene. The intersection was closed for several hours following the crash, with a Tesla car, a white sedan, and a minivan among the vehicles involved. The identities of those involved have not been released, but it has been confirmed that an Orange County Probation Department officer was among the injured parties.
