1 dead, 2 injured after Saturday night crash in Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- One person is dead and two people are in the hospital after police said they were involved in a crash in Bridgeport on Saturday evening. According to the Bridgeport Police Department, officers responded to a report of a crash involving a car and a motorized scooter on the 1200 block of Huntington Turnpike at around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday. The operator of the motorized scooter involved in the crash, a 61-year-old Bridgeport man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men in the car involved in the crash were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Huntington Turnpike is closed in both directions between Broadbridge Road and Intervale Road until further notice.
